In a life-drawing class nobody checks a watch. The session is a ladder of poses — thirty seconds, one minute, five — and each change arrives as a bell or a call from the front of the room. Your eyes stay on the page: the model is already moving when the bell fades, and a glance at a clock costs you the gesture. Music plays in studios like that; the bell simply carries over it.
I'm building Intertakt to run interval training the same way. It's a HIIT and Tabata timer where spoken cues and countdown beeps ride over your own playlist, each at its own volume, so the phone can stay face-down or in a pocket across the room. A session interrupted by a call resumes from the exact second it left — the pose doesn't reset, and neither does the round.
