Yesterday we shipped a big update to routines, and I’m still figuring out everything they can do 👀
What a routine is: a small job that runs on a schedule, on your own computer, using the agent you already pay for: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode or Copilot CLI. The answer shows up as a tile on your Briefkin board.
What you can set up from the app:
🗓️ How often it runs: hourly, daily, every Monday, whatever you need
🤖 Which agent runs it, plus the model and effort level (picked from what’s actually installed on your machine, so no typing model names)
🌐 Your browser: Claude and Codex can use your real, signed-in Chrome. They can read the dashboards you’re already logged into, with no API keys and no scraping setup
💤 Laptop was asleep? Runs that were missed catch up when it wakes
✨ Want it to work differently? Hit “Change it with AI” and describe the change in plain words
Things I’m running right now:
• Each morning, a list of unanswered emails, each with an emoji showing how urgent it is
• Signups and revenue pulled from dashboards that have no API
• A daily check that my sites are up, my rankings and Search Console
And when you add a new project, Briefkin suggests checks for it and installs them as routines in one click.
